The Nutcracker and the Mouse King

Revel in this raucous, modern jazz adaptation of the holiday classic. Returning to the original E.T.A Hoffman story dating from 1816, this production features both original music and radical rearrangements of Tchaikovsky melodies. The collaboration reaches a grand scale as the nine dancers of Owen/Cox Dance Group are joined by The People’s Liberation Big Band of Greater Kansas City, horn sculptor Mark Southerland, artists Peggy Noland and Peregrine Honig, and six students of Paseo Academy of the Fine and Performing Arts.
