Shave to Save is one of the American Cancer Society’s most exciting and unique fundraising events and the only event that donates 100 percent of its proceeds to the Society’s Hope Lodge in Kansas City, a FREE place to stay for cancer patients in the Metro during treatment. Shave to Save is an event where men and women volunteer to shave their heads in honor or memory of someone that has been touched by cancer.
At this event, we'll honor all of our shavees and fundraisers as well as our honorary co-chair, Matt Anthony. Matt was an integral part of this event, starting it in 2001. Without Matt's desire to help others, Shave to Save and Hope Lodge would not have the same support. To date, Shave to Save has had more than 180 shavees and contributed more than $1.3 million to the operating budget of the Hope Lodge.
